Vampire development: The Masquarade – Bloodlines 2 trusted the authors Dear Esther and EVERYBODY’s GONE to the Rapture

Long -developed Paradox Interactive role -playing game Vampire: The Masquarade – Bloodlines 2 returned with a new developer and release date.

On Saturday, the company announced that The Chinese Room studio, located in Brighton (Great Britain) and known for Games such as Dear Esther and EVERYBODY’s GONE to Rapture, will do the development of the game.

On Saturday, at the Pax West exhibition, an announcing video was presented in which Paradox reported that he would show the gameplay in January 2024, and release the game in the fall of 2024.

"Vampire: The Masquarade occupies a special place in our hearts. The gloomy world of the game, filled with complex plots built on top of modern society, perfectly fits into the catalog of our studio", – said Ed Daly, director of The Chinese Room.

Bloodlines 2 is our most ambitious project today. Fans of the franchise were looking forward to this game, and we are ready to accept the challenge. We brought to the project more than 15 years of experience marked by awards, and create a game that honors the legacy of its predecessor and at the same time transfers the gameplay in the modern era.

Sean Green, the vice president of the World of Darkness company Paradox, added: "We were immediately impressed when we saw The Chinese Room on Bloodlines 2. They are truly passionate about the source material, which makes them ideal partners for developing history in the vampire setting: The Masquarade, which will find a response from players.

We strive to ensure that Bloodlines 2 be successful. Attraction of the studio sharing our vision has become a decisive factor in achieving these goals. Fans of the franchise can be sure that Bloodlines 2 is in good hands, and in January we will have something to share with you.

Bloodlines 2 development was not easy and protracted. Initially, it was developed by Hardsuit Labs and was planned to exit in 2020.

However, in August 2020, the Sicvel of the Acne-RPG was postponed until 2021, and its creative director and leading designer were dismissed.

In February 2021. Paradox again postponed Bloodlines 2 and announced the termination of development at Hardsuit Labs.

Later, PRADOX General Director Fredrick Wester said that the company was close to completely abandon Bloodlines 2 after breaking up relations with Hardsuit.
